About

Hi there!

Indie Game Dev Scene was founded to give hobbyists and small independent game studios a platform where they can present their works, and to make the indie game dev scene visible.

I've been using the nickname Adok on the Internet for more than two decades, and my real name is Claus Volko. I was the main editor of the Hugi Magazine, a magazine on computer art, from 1996 to 2014, and the maintainer of 21st Century Headlines, a website about science and technology, since 2015. Now I've wondered what actually interests me most and come to the conclusion that it is computer games made by hobbyists and computer game development. I originally started teaching myself programming because I wanted to implement my ideas regarding games, and the magazine making business was an interesting side project. Meanwhile I've made quite a few games and think that the indie game dev scene deserves more visibility! It lacks a central location where news on the scene is published. That's why I decided to found this website!

If you want to contribute articles or graphics, feel free to do so. I can be contacted via mail (at) cdvolko (dot) net.

This blog is free of charge and I make no money with it!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Cheers
Adok
